چکیده

The use of a ketogenic diet with an increased proportion fat is rampant lately, both as therapy or even lifestyle. feared to cause dyslipidemia. It will also lead atherosclerosis and thrombosis. This study aimed determine the effect high-fat on HDL, LDL, HDL/LDL ratio in mice. Thirty male Mus Musculus, 2-3 mo, 15-25 g divided into five groups diet. K1 (12% fat, 20% protein, 62% carb), K2 (30% 60%protein), K3 (45% 45% protein), K4 (60% 30% protein) K5 (75% 15% for 4 weeks. Feed water by adlibitum. Blood serum was taken from ventricle, while measurement HDL level, LDL used ELISA. Normality data analyzed Shapiro Wilk, homogeneity Levene test. using equality test followed Games Howell, tested ANOVA LSD significance 0,05. (62,50±9.94) mg/dL, (78,40±18,76) (79,00±3,81) (80,00±2,16) (83,50±5,62) mg/dL p<0,05 K1, K3, K5. (21,67± 4,80) (23,00±12,70) (18,40±4,34) (24,00 ±1,83) (22,00 ± 4,08) p>0,05. Ratio (3,01±0,91), (4,10±1,86), (4,53±1,5), (3,35±0,34), (3,96 1,25)

High-fat, high-cholesterol diet increases the incidence of gastritis in LDL receptor-negative mice.

Transgenic and knockout mice are widely used as models for atherogenesis studies. While developing a Helicobacter infection model in LDL receptor-negative (LDLR(-/-)) mice, we noticed that mice fed a high-fat, high-cholesterol diet often contracted gastritis independent of infection. To further investigate this finding, we studied 27 male and 18 female LDLR(-/-) mice fed high-fat, 1% or 1.25% c...

LDL receptor but not apolipoprotein E deficiency increases diet-induced obesity and diabetes in mice.

The aim of this study was to determine whether phenotypes associated with type 2 diabetes are altered in dyslipidemic obese mice. C57BL/6 wild-type, low-density lipoprotein (LDL) receptor-deficient (LDLR-/-), and apolipoprotein E-deficient (apoE-/-) mice were fed a high-fat, high-carbohydrate diet (diabetogenic diet), and the development of obesity, diabetes, and hypertriglyceridemia was examin...

A Western-Fed Diet Increases Plasma HDL and LDL-Cholesterol Levels in ApoD–/– Mice

OBJECTIVE Plasma apolipoprotein (apo)D, a ubiquitously expressed protein that binds small hydrophobic ligands, is found mainly on HDL particles. According to studies of human genetics and lipid disorders, plasma apoD levels positively correlate with HDL-cholesterol and apoAI levels. Thus, we tested the hypothesis that apoD was a regulator of HDL metabolism. METHODS & RESULTS We compared the p...

Proteinuria increases oxylipid concentrations in VLDL and HDL but not LDL particles in the rat.

We previously established that proteinuria alters the apolipoprotein content of lipoproteins. This study was conducted to establish whether proteinuria also alters the concentrations of oxidized lipids within lipoprotein density fractions. To this end, we induced passive Heymann nephritis in Sprague Dawley rats and measured an array of alkaline-stable oxylipids in VLDL, LDL, and HDL particles. ...

A High-Fat Diet Increases Adiposity but Maintains Mitochondrial Oxidative

42 43 A high fat diet can increase adiposity, leptin secretion, and plasma fatty acid concentration. In 44 hypertension, this scenario may accelerate cardiac hypertrophy and development of heart failure, 45 but could be protective by activating peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors and expression 46 of mitochondrial oxidative enzymes. We assessed the effects of a high-fat diet on the 47 d...
